Michael Jordan is opening a second private Florida club. Here’s where

Florida is well-known for attracting the rich and famous, and their businesses.

President Donald Trump’s primary residence and several of his golf courses are here. Professional athletes, like Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, Serena Williams and more, are also Florida residents. Even tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos own homes in South Florida’s “billionaire bunker” neighborhood.

Another famous Florida resident, former NBA star Michael Jordan, co-owns (along with some other celebrities) an exclusive members-only club and restaurant near his primary residence in Palm Beach County. And a new location on Florida’s Gulf Coast is coming soon. The basketball icon also owns a golf course on the Treasure Coast.

Here’s what to know about Michael Jordan’s role in the members-only Florida club and where the new location will be.

Where is Michael Jordan’s private club?

Michael Jordan is a founding partner and co-owner of 1000 North, a members-only restaurant and club in Jupiter, Florida. Jordan holds a significant stake in the club, but it is co-owned and backed by a large group of high-profile partners and investors.

“Developer Ira Fenton and former New York Giant Tucker Frederickson, who were part of the team that developed The Bear’s Club and The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter (now Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter), came up with the idea,” the 1000 North website says.

1000 North Jupiter opened in 2018.

A second location of 1000 North is opening in downtown Sarasota this year. According to the countdown clock on the 1000 North Sarasota website, the new location is expected to open in just over 15 weeks, in October 2026.

“Tucked into the heart of Sarasota’s cultural corridor, 1000 NORTH Sarasota is a members-only club that blends culinary artistry with legacy hospitality,” the website says.

“Modeled after our iconic Jupiter flagship — founded by Michael Jordan, Ernie Els, and other tastemakers — our Sarasota location brings that same elevated spirit to the Boulevard of the Arts.”

The club will be at 520 North Tamiami Trail and will boast just over 23,000 square feet of space after recently closing on an additional adjacent property.

According to previous Sarasota Herald-Tribune reporting, the two-level space will include private dining rooms, a dedicated wine lounge, members’ wine and liquor lockers and an upstairs lounge. The menu will feature prime steaks, seafood and seasonal ingredients, complemented by curated wine selections.

Michael Jordan is also the principal owner of The Grove XXIII, a private golf course in Hobe Sound. The “XXIII” portion of the name is a nod to Jordan’s former jersey number, 23. The ultra-exclusive golf club is also invite-only, with fewer than 100 members.

The golf course was created by Bobby Weed, a well-known golf course architect who has designed a mix of private golf clubs and PGA Tour tournament venues.
