A fearless final round from Charley Hull nearly delivered a major breakthrough at Riviera. Hull said her mindset was simple: go for everything, play free golf and chase the number she believed would be enough to win. She ultimately finished second again, but left with another reminder that major championships bring out her best.

Charlie I love your confidence. Especially aim high. Even if you don’t get to 10 you’ll be right in contention. Even through the frustration you still are complimentary to Nelly. You are gracious when you win, and you are gracious when you finish second. You make the game relatable to many, you even gave a shout out to all the youth that you saw today. I hope you can use your frustration as fuel to elevate your game. You train so hard. Keep your stalking mentality. You are not short on effort. You are big as an example, you are a steward of the game. Best to you at Hazeltine!
It’s going to come for Charley.. I hope it’s at the 50th Woman’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s
Great player, great interview. Charley is one of my favorite players on the tour.
She’s a great player and a great individual. You will win majors all the best.
It's Charley's character that is so endearing. We all know she is a superb golfer but it's the way she goes about her business that really stands out
Sensational effort by Charley… she really is the most exciting player to watch in golf 🙌🙌🙌🙌
I really hope Charley can win The 50th Open this year. Breaking the Major winless streak in her home country. It would mean as much to her ( if not more) than Nelly Korda breaking through at the US Open.
She is very good but great?
Not in my opinion she has a total of 3 wins and zero majors and she has been on tour since 2015.
Of the lpga players of the last 10 years she isn’t in the top 15 based on wins and majors.
Colorful and confident bordering on arrogant doesn’t make a very good player great.
Anyway, the $1 mil payout should soothe the disappointment.
“You always aim high-ah”—delivered with that smashing English accent!
Saying F**k it is normal for the British. I love Charley Hull's honesty..
She's full of herself!
Bloody Hell Charley..well done you..what a start to the year..inspirational
She talks as fast as she hits the ball. Hope she wins a major soon.
Hope the million dollar second place prize is someconsolation to Charley….you gave it your all, so….:)
Would love to see Charley win The Open in a couple months. Nelly is on a crazy hot streak right now, she could win every week
Think it was on 16 she tried to hit a 4 iron into a green from 212 and came up well short in a bunker… Surprised she tried to step on the 4 iron
Doesn't carry a yardage book, can only get up for majors. LPGA version of Brooks. Let's go Charley, yours is coming
A major on way soon Charlie 🎉
Greatest legs on the lpga!
I think she is overrated and a little full of herself I only get up for the Majors????
Win one of two then you can make statements like that.
3 lpga wins and that’s it sorry I don’t share the notion that she is a Star because she isn’t
How can anyone not love Charlie’s passion for competition and relatability. Go get one Charlie, you so deserve it.
Heartbreak? Even though she lamented another second place, she played out of her mind on the weekend. Played better than anyone else the last two days. Hopefully she wins at Lytham, would be awesome.
Second place, not bad for someone who doesn't like to practice. 🙂
After the first 2 rounds, she did really well to get so close.
One of these days it will all come together!
Great player.
Charlie has a very athletic swing..
Just cut out the late mistakes and a major is coming very soon!!!
My problem is she said she thought Trump was great.
Therefore she can’t be very smart.
And she is insanely overrated 3 wins in 11 years is very good but not even close to great.
Calling her a superstar or a star irritates me.
Prediction she will never win a major
Great effort …second place….most players would give a lot to even get that close..your turn will come Charley to win a major..sooner we all hope..🎉
