I like to call 120 yards and in the “scoring zone.” It’s where you can push for birdies on par 5s and even save par if you’ve found trouble on a par 4. Watch as I share some tips on how to master this area of the game, all while playing with my son, Charlie!

  1. Charlie is great, lovely demeanour, good swing, has Dan's thinking around the course. Quality video and a novel change to see that the youngsters can really think their way round too. Puts me to shame. Not sure Charlie even needs any shots on what we see there.

  2. There’s clearly so much mutual respect and admiration between father and son. Between Charlie’s sunglasses, putter choice, and comfort leading the video commentary, he’s like a mini Dan in the cutest way possible. And a damn good golfer. Great video!

  3. Well played Charlie! Dan please do a tutorial on how you hit knock down 9 iron and up I.e. non wedge knock down shots. I’ve tried to hit them with the address 2 setup but the ball comes out right and spinny .

  4. I like how you're explaining your thought process so he can understand even if his shot is completely different. Good way for kids to learn. My 2 are 8&11 and played 2 games in the last few weeks so I'll try this next time.
