Tiger Woods is not anticipated to rejoin girlfriend Vanessa Trump until late this month, despite her recent breast cancer diagnosis, although he is reportedly providing ongoing support throughout the initial phases of her treatment.
Woods, 50, is presently in Switzerland for what is understood to be a 90-day treatment program after his arrest in late March near his Jupiter, Florida residence on suspicion of DUI. He has entered a not guilty plea.
The 15-time major winner made a brief trip back to the United States in May, just before Trump disclosed her diagnosis, but returned to Europe on May 23 to resume his own treatment regimen.
An insider familiar with the couple has now disclosed how Woods and Trump are maintaining their relationship from afar while both face substantial personal obstacles. According to the source, the two have stayed in consistent contact and are committed to supporting each other despite being separated by treatment schedules and travel obligations.
“They talk and share their lives as they have been doing for the entire time they have been together,” the source informed People. “Their regular communication has helped both cope with these major issues and interruptions in their busy lives.”

The source continued: “Even though Vanessa has her children and close friends, she and Tiger have a solid emotional connection. This helps both of them”. Woods is projected to finish his treatment program and return to Trump’s side by late June.
He was given judicial approval to pursue treatment abroad for prescription painkiller management. Authorities reported that when apprehended in late March, he had two hydrocodone pills in his possession, a potent and highly addictive pain medication. In 2025, Woods had his seventh back operation, along with surgery to address a torn Achilles tendon.
Trump revealed her cancer diagnosis through a social media statement. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she shared.
She disclosed that she had already completed a medical procedure and expressed that she remains “focused and hopeful,” emphasizing the support surrounding her from family, children and loved ones.
An insider previously informed the Daily Mail that Trump was allegedly frustrated with Woods regarding personal matters, separate from the car crash itself. “This is why she was so adamant that he get treatment and get himself on the right track,” the source revealed to the Daily Mail.
“She was facing a health scare and Tiger wasn’t able to really be there for her. So she was like, ‘I’m not going through this and holding your hand for addiction at the same time.’ That was basically the ultimatum she gave.
“She’s got a huge support system aside from Tiger, but obviously she has enough on her plate to not have to worry about him and his addiction. So he went for treatment.”
