  1. You're not supposed to hold the lag angle in the whole downswing. There is a right time to release the lag angle. When your hands pass the ball, that's when you release the clubhead.

  2. Excellent point Martin! We see pictures that lie to us. I just watched an old video of Stan Utley saying much of the same. Pulling on the handle and attempting to get shaft lean causes a slow club head and delays the release too much.
