Golfweek ranks this Georgia golf course top 5 in US. And it’s not Augusta

While Georgia and many of its amenities have a rich history, there are plenty of hot spots to enjoy that were built in living memory.

On Monday, Golfweek released its ranking of the top 200 modern golf courses in the U.S. These were based on a course-ratings panel, rating courses on a 10-point bases and voting for their favorites.

Tied for No. 75: Private course opened 1929, redesigned in 1999 with 18 holes, over 6,600 yards, and a 137 slope. Tea times are $314 for nine holes, $395 for the full course, and replays are available. Reservations can be made at seaisland.com/golf/courses/seaside.
