Olson, Bullerman head to State Golf | News, Sports, Jobs

Two members of the United South Central boys golf team are advancing to the State Golf Tournament.

Brennan Olson and Kolt Bullerman qualified during the second day of the Section 2A Golf Tournament, held on Monday, June 1, at the North Links Golf Course in North Mankato.

USC’s Olson shot a 154 total for the two days of Section action, which put him in third place and got him a trip to State. It is his second time heading to the State Tourney.

Bullerman came in with a 165 score and was tied for seventh place and earned his first trip to State.

However, the Rebels’ team did not qualify for the State Tournament. They were in second place after Day 1, and remained in second place at the end of Day 2 of the Section.

USC had a two-day team score of 678 and were in second behind Sleepy Eye United who tallied a 636.

In third place was Mountain Lake Area at 682 and Cedar Mountain was in fourth place with a 713,

Olson and Bullerman will be playing at the two-day Class A State Tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 9-10, at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker.

At the Section Tournament, the other four USC golfers were Colten Husfeldt who shot a 179 and was in 22nd place, Ryder Anderson was in 23rd place with a 180, Octavio Hernandez who was in 28th place with a score of 198 and Jaxon Hart who carded a 215 and was in 32nd place.

Nolan Kucera of Sleepy Eye United was the medalist with a score of 148.

The Rebels overall team record for the season was 40-10-1.
