  1. I can't speak for others but when I saw the Queen's Cup in Charlotte I wanted to see all my favorite players, but it's a challenge to keep following them when they're having a bad day because you know it's hurting them. I don't know how it feels as a player, but it seems like having more eyes on you when you're missing pots and losing strokes wouldn't make you feel better.

The best decision I made was to follow a low card on the first day because there wasn't a crowd and you could hear what the guys were talking about and it was a much more relaxed atmosphere. Everyone who plays in a pro Tour event is pretty special, And I really enjoyed watching the putting. Pro level putting is incredible.

  2. My 2nd DGPT event was 2026 Brooksville, following Uli, Aderhold, Burridge and ?? even chatgpt can't locate who in 3 tries…. NO, I didn't keep track of score. It was fascinating to watch the men, the flights and try to make sure I didn't fall on my butt in the mud.

Being mostly retired, for 2 seasons I have thought about following the tour for some events and get to know some of the MPO and FPO players.
I met Ohn at OG Oak Grove in her 3rd week playing the game.

And figure out how to get out of my forehand dominant to a backhand that isn't just armed to 270. yeesh! Maybe not bracing or incorrect use of off arm & back leg? sigh!

  3. Only been to one tournament OTB open 2021. Showed up early and found a couple cards in succession with a couple can't wait to watch throw players(Gannon and Mertsch). Bounced around those cards on the more interesting holes. For MPO followed a card with BigJerm and Gurthie early in the day and then traveled back to hole 1 to watch the top 3 cards blast off. Followed lead card until the crowd got too thick for my liking. Then jump ahead Pirate Island to enjoy the camaraderie and libations for a while. Sneak your way to 18 and watch all the pros finish up their day and generously sign discs for their adoring fans. Thank you @uli and @bigjerm for taking the time to sign discs regardless of how your rounds may have gone. For the record. Wall hangers with those signed discs.

  4. Jomez, you all always crush it but with the commentary variance in particular this year has been spectacular. Keep doing what you’re doing from a Jomez-only disc golf watcher

  5. I was at this event Paul, when you and eagle were battling it out until about hole 16 and he took the lead for good. The leaderboard was on a placard with the card so it was very easy for us to keep track. Epic day. That's the only time I've been and it was on the final day so that's probably different than day 2.

  6. I will watch the scores but won’t leave my favorite players card, which ended up with me giving you Uli a ride to your air bnb in Jonesboro! Wouldn’t trade that moment for anything! So happy for your win this year as well! Made us older guys have some confidence again! Can’t wait to be able to watch you play again soon!

  7. On the spectating question. I was watching Paul McBeth's score when he was just absolutely lighting up WR Jackson at the 1st Champions Cup in 2022.

He ended up shooting I think -16 during the final round which is BONKERS! 1100 rated I believe. And I regretted not leaving the card I was watching to watch him make history at that course.
