Fifteen major iron brands ranked worst to best. No tour endorsements influencing the ranking. No sponsorships behind any of it. Just independent testing data, secondary market resale numbers, manufacturing cost breakdowns, and tour gear reports that nobody got paid to file.
This breakdown looks at why brand prestige distorts iron pricing harder than any other equipment category in golf. Why two brands amateurs assume sit at the top end up in the bottom four. Why one brand most amateurs have never heard of took the number one spot. And the pattern across all fifteen brands that explains exactly where the money goes when an iron set crosses two thousand dollars.
No sponsorships. No brand deals. No paid placements.

Fitting is a major golf scam. You don't need to be fitted. You just need to learn how to hit the ball with the clubs you have. Period. It's not the clubs. Clubs are all the same regardless of the lies the major brands and their paid and greedy servants tell you. I've hit everything from Callaway 1988 H2S2s to the new Pings and TMs. All the same. Stop paying those outrageous prices. Buy a used set of clubs and learn to hit them. A new driver will NOT improve your drives. You will only get so many yards no matter what driver you use. Don't give in to the hype. It is all designed to steal your money.
I own Takomo irons
& Absolutely love their performance
Better than the Callaway Apex Forged I took out of my bag.
Truth be spoken. I play Sub-70 irons and love them.
