Bubba Watson’s Miracle Shot at the 2012 Masters

Bubba Watson’s miracle shot at the 2012 Masters is still one of the most unforgettable moments in Augusta National history.

On the second playoff hole against Louis Oosthuizen, Bubba found himself deep in the trees on the 10th hole, standing on pine straw with almost no clear angle to the green. Most players would have punched out and tried to survive. Bubba saw something different.

He took a wedge, opened his imagination, and hit a massive hook that curved nearly 40 yards through the air, bending around the trees and finding the green. It was one of those shots that looked impossible until it actually happened.

That swing helped Bubba win his first green jacket and created a Masters moment that still gets replayed every year.

Fairway Standard covers the stories, shots, and legends that shaped golf.
