A man arrested at Trump National Doral Golf Club the weekend of a PGA Tour event last month has entered a program with the state attorney’s office.According to the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Courts Office database, Alexis M. Nordelo, 32, agreed to enter a pretrial diversion program.Terms of the program include anger management and staying away from Trump National Doral Golf Club for six months.According to a Doral Police Department report, on Saturday, May 2, at 4:30 p.m., its officers responded to a U.S. Secret Service checkpoint in reference to an unruly man who had been detained.When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a man, later identified as Nordelo, was irate and uncooperative during a security screening with Secret Service.The report alleged that Nordelo made physical contact with a Secret Service agent.As a result, Nordelo was detained in handcuffs.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from WPBF 25 NewsDoral Police Department officers escorted Nordelo off the property. During the escort, the report notes Nordelo became increasingly belligerent, yelling at officers, refusing to walk and dropping his body weight to the ground.The report added Nordelo appeared to be intoxicated and irrational. Officers had to carry Nordelo onto a golf cart.While on the golf cart, the report said Nordelo refused to sit calmly and stated he would intentionally fall off once the cart began moving.Nordelo’s alleged behavior disrupted the checkpoint. Nordelo was taken to a larger golf cart and removed.According to the police report, while being transported to a secure area, Nordelo allegedly continued his behavior and at one point, officers had to place Nordelo’s baseball cap over his face to prevent Nordelo from spitting on the officers.When Nordelo was transported to Turner Gilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, his behavior continued.The corrections staff refused to accept Nordelo, and he was taken to Jackson West Medical Center for medical clearance.After Nordelo was medically cleared, he was returned to the corrections center and was accepted by corrections center staff for processing.Get the latest news updates with the WPBF 25 News app. You can download it here.Nordelo was facing disorderly, disturbing the peace and resisting officer without violence charges.The Secret Service said at the time of the incident that President Donald Trump was not at Trump National Doral Golf Club.The president did attend the final round of the Cadillac Championship at the golf club on Sunday, May 3.
