Bob Harig joins Trey Wingo and Justin Ray on GOLF LIVE to discuss Jon Rahm’s response when asked whether he would invest his own money or time into LIV’s future. Rahm said it was more of a “stay in your lane” situation, making clear that his job is to play golf, not build the business side of the league.

Harig explains why the idea of LIV players funding the league is difficult to understand, especially when the original model was built around paying players to join. He also breaks down why team ownership may be the more realistic investment path, and why a smaller LIV schedule, reduced purses, world ranking uncertainty, and limited PGA Tour integration all create real questions about what LIV can sell going forward.

This is not just another LIV vs. PGA Tour conversation. It is a closer look at whether LIV’s next version can work if the money, access, and incentives change.

  1. Bryson's going to give them back the money they gave him in order to keep them in business. He'll call it an investment. Is that how this works? Oh yeah…he's a sharp businessman. Sharp as a ball-peen hammer. The ROI is sure to be astronomical. But please don't mention throwing good money after bad.

  2. Yeah Rahm knows it would be throwing good $$ after bad if he invested in LIV. He doesnt need to if LIV folds he gets out of his deal and he will just play the DP World Tour and eventually be on the PGA Tour as well.

  3. It will never make financial sense if America is the target audience. Maybe LIV could be for the 125-250 ranked guys, but they have KFT. The best LIV events are on when most Americans are asleep. Golf is loved globally, and most would love to see the best players in their town.
