  1. Been struggling with the mid irons, ever since I started hitting the driver and woods, longer and straighter, will be taken this into account on tomorrow’s morning practice, cheers

What I do is turn the face closed about 45° when pulling the lead hand on the grip like a handshake then dorsi-extend to rotate the face square, then put the base of my trail thumb over the base of the lead one. This gets the Vs of the index finger&thumbs pointing correctly, puts the lead hand in an ideal 'strong' position and twists and stretches the Brachioradialis muscle that runs over the top of the elbow joint. That last part helps keep the lead arm straight in the takeaway which is critical for getting the trail arm to fold elbow down to guide the path of the hands and club head mass ideally.
