  1. I'm using the JumboMax smalls currently. I feel they help me loosen up my hands and wrists more as with smaller grips I felt I had to really freeze them up to keep the club face square with the bigger grips I can allow more manipulation through impact without overreacting. I think having a large grip on one club is a good training aid, and to the contrary I run a Mid align grip on a blade 7i I use for a training aid mainly focused on ball striking.

  2. Interesting guys, thanks for doing this video…I would say that for grips, it is difficult to switch to different grip sizes and immediately measure in a single session. Grip changes are a sensitive area for golfers. It takes time to adjust to them. You should hit a jumbo for a week or more to adjust then compare results to the standard that you are used to.

  3. It's SO individual. I use Iomic Midsize +3 wraps. I like they are sticky & firm! I wear XL glove was part of my decision.. also I get ti active with hands so it didn't hurt to go bigger. Lastly i lost right (top hand) pinky in a race so less hand grip than most about 10% less hahah. I got hand cramps so bad on standard grips

  4. You have forgotten to mention the weight of the grips. I believe the zen grips are heavier then the ultra lite jumbo max grips. Which is offsetting the swing weight. However you have proven that bigger grips have eliminated the two way miss.
And the right side… the question is do you want that.

  5. If you take the 2 obvious mis hits the midsize grip was by far his best. Closer to center face strikes lost 5 yards only even with 2 obvious mishits and the dispersion of the others without those 2 were so nicely grouped. The consistency is worth the couple yards(probably only 2-3 after the 1 super heal strike he had gets taken out)

  6. you've mentally decided a larger grip is not for you before you got through testing the second grip. "I cant" and "impossible" comments throughout.

  7. This test shows that getting the right grip size and number of wraps of tape is crucially important. Amazing how our brains can determine how fast or slow we swing based on comfort level. Cheers.

  8. I’d like to think there’s a grip somewhere on this ā€œspectrumā€ for everyone where they can aggressively go after the ball, and square the face, without worrying about the low screaming hook coming out. Or at least not too much. But I fear that the truth is: any golfer can miss – in any way – with any size grip. So play what feels right to your hands.

For me it’s standard with 3 wraps – just a shade smaller than midsize. M/L or L glove size.

  9. Unfortunately the Golf Pride CP2 Wrap grip is a +4 grip not a traditional taper grip…This is real interesting in that I have experimented this year with some oversized and now Jumbo max grips. I have always used a standard size grip with 4 extra wraps of tape but due to some current hand issues I tried a Winn oversized lite grip on my driver and really like the feel. I didn’t want the extra weight of a regular larger grip. I just picked up some Jumbo Max Ultra lite Small grips to try.

  10. I think how you ended, "wasnt for me today", is correct. By changing grip size you are litterally changing your grip. Not something a golfer can do in one session. By the reasoning you had you will never change the size of the grip. Some advise getting one club regripped and run with it for a couple weeks. At the end of the day your lack of confidence affected the swings you took. Only way around that is more swings.

I knew i had to move out of standard grips because my lead hand was not consistently able to grip a standard grip. I jumped to midsized +4, played them for 2 months and realized the +4 was messing up my trail hand. Now i am in midsized. But, i wont pass judgment on them because i have not swung them enough.
