The eight teams advancing to matchplay of the 2026 DI men’s golf championship were set after a four-team playoff Monday, June 1. Matchplay starts Tuesday, June 2 and concludes with the national championship match on Wednesday, June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Oklahoma State’s Preston Stout won the individual title on June 1, finishing 14-under par through four rounds.
The 2026 DI men’s golf championship featured 81 teams and 45 individuals in regional competition. The low five teams and low individual from each region qualified for a spot in the championship finals. Thirty teams and six individuals in total will compete in the finals.
