The third season of Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf European Tour got underway this week at The Belfry, as some of Europe’s most promising junior golfers gathered at the legendary venue for a week focused on competition, mentorship and opportunity.

Presented in partnership with United Airlines, the tour continues to build on the momentum generated by its first two seasons, reinforcing its commitment to elevating emerging talent while expanding access to a sport steeped in tradition. Founded by four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry, UNDERRATED Golf was created to provide greater visibility and opportunities for young golfers from underrepresented backgrounds and female players.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament offered players the opportunity to compete on one of Europe’s most revered championship courses while earning a pathway to one of junior golf’s most distinctive events, the Curry Cup Championship. Beyond the competition itself, participants also benefited from mentorship opportunities and career-development experiences designed to expose them to the wider golf industry.

Andrew Rodriguez and Isabella Fernandez
American duo Andrew Rodriguez of Whittier, California, and Isabella Fernandez of Irvine, California, emerged as overall champions at The Belfry, posting winning totals of two-under-par and one-under-par respectively to claim the first titles of the new season.

Curry Cup Championship Qualifiers
Alongside the overall winners, four European players secured their places in this year’s Curry Cup Championship at Bethpage Black in New York. England’s Jenson Ringer and Mo Craig, together with Shania Breinhoelder of Prague, Czechia, and Sommer Chan of Woburn, England, were crowned the leading European finishers and will represent the continent at Bethpage Black later this year.
A number of high-profile ambassadors were on site throughout the week to support the players. Former Ladies European Tour professional, broadcaster and R&A ambassador Henni Züel continued her involvement with the programme, engaging with competitors and sharing insights from her own journey in the game.

Former football star Gareth Bale, a five-time UEFA Champions League winner and passionate golfer, also returned as an ambassador for Season 3, helping raise awareness of the initiative while connecting directly with participating athletes. Joining them was Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood, one of England’s most accomplished golfers, who spent time at The Belfry supporting the players and the broader mission of the tour.
Since its launch in 2022, UNDERRATED Golf has sought to create meaningful pathways for talented young golfers who may not always have access to traditional opportunities within the sport. Inspired by Curry’s own experience as an athlete who often exceeded expectations despite being overlooked early in his career, the initiative combines elite competition with mentorship, networking and personal development.
