RICHFIELD — Junior Max Zastrow and freshman Max Neumann finished first and second, respectively, as Lake Country Lutheran’s boys golf team shot a 310 to win a WIAA Division 2 regional on Wednesday at Kettle Hills Golf Course.
Zastrow won with a 1-under 71, while Neumann finished with a 75. LCL senior Owen Liebham came in fourth with an 8-over 80, while junior Benjamin Leach tied for 11th with an 84.
University School finished second with a 326, Kettle Moraine Lutheran was third with a 334 and Shorewood nabbed the final team qualifying spot with a 347.
Although Brookfield Academy just missed the cut, finishing with a 360, senior Raghav Vijayapal and sophomore Nolan Fletcher made the cut individually. Vijayapal finished tied for 14th with an 85 and Fletcher tied for 21st with an 89 to snag the final spot.
Next up is a D2 sectional hosted by Kettle Moraine Lutheran at Washington County Golf Course on Tuesday.
