They should rematch but to me it looked like Usyk didn’t take the fight seriously. He didn’t look like he was in shape and I bet money in the rematch it will be a totally different fight

Either way dirty games being played. Dropping the mouth piece on purpose to buy extra time is just as corrupt in essence ngl 😢 BUT 12th round shouldve been boxed I think. If the round had lasted longer than 2 seconds like 20-30 sec left it was absolutely the right call to stop it because at the time Rico could not defend himself anymore but with 2 seconds on the clock left? Hell no whole strategies in boxing recolve around absorbing hits and waiting it out till end of round even Muhammed Ali did it often leaning back in the ropes and just taking it. Boxing nowadays is so different tbh

Lmfao this is such an insane take. You’re literally claiming things that are being proven wrong by the video as they happen. “He was tired because he’d basically won the fight 😭” this actually made me lol 😂 and “punched nothing but gloves and arms” like bro, literally just look at the footage you posted—you’re exuding insane levels of fan boy cope.
The fight was stopped early, sure. But there was no way Rico was surviving the 12th round. Besides that, as he was being absolutely bludgeoned to death at the end of the 11th round, the ref stepped in to prevent serious injury. He had shown that he wasn’t fully recovered, even after milking as long as he could after his knockdown, and each one of those punches probably caused brain damage. The ref stepped in because he hadn’t heard the bell and said wasn’t fit to fight anymore—which he wasnt, but it was called early.
Regardless the fight would have ended the same way, only with a lot more unnecessary blows to an already concussed man’s head.
