Golf news as Tiger Woods jumps back on private jet and Donald Trump ruins video

This past weekend’s significant golf headlines were headlined by Wyndham Clark’s victory at TPC Craig Ranch after he won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

Clark produced one of the best days of his career on Sunday, shooting a stunning final-round 60 to win the fourth PGA Tour title of his career, fending off Si Woo Kim and Scottie Scheffler. However, following the win, Clark was immediately hit by a hefty tax bill.

He also brought up his meltdown at Oakmont to CBS Sports’ Amanda Balionis following his win in Texas. Elsewhere, Brooks Koepka has confirmed he is set to pull out of this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, which boasts a prize purse of $9.9 million, with first place winning $1.78 million and 500 FedExCup points.

Tiger Woods returns to Switzerland after quick trip home

Tiger Woods has returned to Zurich, Switzerland, to continue his rehab after tending to an important family matter back home in Florida.

Earlier this year, following his DUI arrest, the 15-time major winner announced he would be taking an indefinite leave from golf to enter rehab, with Woods being supported by his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump.

While the reason for his return to Florida is unclear, it is thought Woods returned to the United States to support Trump after she recently announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

However, the return to America was short-lived, with Celebplanes.com reporting that Woods’ Gulfstream V took off on Saturday night from Witham Field in Stuart, Florida, and flew 8 hours and 48 minutes back to Switzerland. To leave the U.S. again, Woods had to obtain a judge’s permission.

A source told the New York Post, “Tiger has been very supportive of Vanessa through all of this and is really just focused on being there for her.

“He’s proud of how positive she’s stayed and how she’s handling everything so far.

“She’s been so strong and he truly believes she’s going to be OK. He’s just trying to support her however he can right now.”
