  1. Hi everyone,

I’m really glad you’re here for part two of our beginner series. As a film guy, I’ve always loved a good golf movie but don’t let a little Hollywood “Happy Gilmore” energy mess up your scorecard.

The real key to a consistent, powerful swing comes down to one thing: SEQUENCE!

First comes the turn: start the swing with your upper body and shoulders.

Then comes the strike: at the top of the swing, let your lower body and legs lead the way.

And finally, the finish: remember, you really hit the ball with your legs, while your arms and hands just follow along.

A lot of golfers get this backward by firing the hips too soon and swinging mostly with the arms. But once you understand the timing between your upper and lower body, you’ll be way ahead of the game.

What’s one part of your swing you’re focusing on this week? Drop it in the comments? I’d love to help you out!

    Keep swinging,
    Bob
