Adam Smith gives his honest assessment ahead of Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven in this exclusive Seconds Out interview from Giza, Egypt, as the former Sky Sports “Voice of Boxing” reacts to one of the most unique heavyweight events in modern boxing history.
Speaking beside the pyramids ahead of fight night, Smith discusses whether Rico Verhoeven has any realistic chance of shocking undisputed heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk, comparing the potential upset to Buster Douglas vs Mike Tyson and Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr. Adam explains why the crossover spectacle reminds him of Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor and KSI vs Logan Paul, while praising Rico’s media work and Peter Fury’s role in the camp.
Adam Smith also breaks down the current state of the heavyweight division, including Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua rumours, AJ’s comeback plans following defeat and recovery, Tyson Fury’s expected return, and why he believes the long-awaited Fury vs Joshua showdown could finally happen at Wembley Stadium later this year.
The interview also takes a serious turn as Adam opens up emotionally on the struggles fighters face after retirement, discussing Adrien Broner’s recent issues and the mental health battles many boxers experience once the spotlight fades. Smith reflects on Ricky Hatton while writing his upcoming book, and explains why boxing must continue supporting fighters long after their careers end.

Fury is a clown. It is confirmed.
So he's not boxing Zlatan right???
Boxing is a joke, usyk fighting a guy who's boxed e rounds, joshua fighting guy no one's hewrd of after jake paul and now fury reported to be fighting footballers embarrassing for the sport
If Stephen Hawking was still alive Fury would be fighting him instead.
not a bad fight for a tuneup tbh, zlatan cant really box, but he can punch and has a gastank so he can put some pressure on fury. fury needs to stay switched on. probably a tougher fight then guys like chisora and whyte
Ive said before, zuffa and dazn want to make boxing like amazon/netflix, you have to subscribe , no pay per view, and they need to have lots snd lots of content, just like netflix/amazon, quality doesnt matter, just like netflix/amazon, with a few high quality tentpoles to increase the subscriber base,,,expect plenty more in the coming year
