Simon Jordan absolutely bang on the money here.
On the day – Celtic won it fair and square. We fatigued in the end and the pitch invasion didn’t affect the final result. No problems there.
The problems arise from the extenuating circumstances. A pitch invasion cannot be the reason why a game needs to be stopped, the decision again Motherwell was a disgrace and the Celtic fans overreaction to pipping a team with infinitely less resources was frankly embarrassing. Imagine trashing your own city over that.
The problem is what needs to change cannot change. Celtic will always have a large section of their own support that are parasites, their fans will continue to act like animals without any sort of true recrimination, they will always benefit from 50/50 calls and they will always have the greatest platform for success because of the disparity in resources.
Ultimately a successful season for Hearts has done nothing but highlight the massive flaws in the Scottish game and it’s all it’s served to do is disillusion some of those that take an interest in the game up here.
Who was the first person on the pitch? If I am not mistaken, it was Martin O'Neil after the third goal for Celticl He seems to have been the man who encouraged the invasion of the rest! Check it out!
