Endless Summer is teeing off with the Canadian Armed Forces in June to expand a premier Quinte long drive golf event that benefits local charities.

The world’s biggest long drive event, Endless Summer, is announcing the return and expansion of its “Military Long Drive Championship” in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces as part of the 2026 event.

The military long drive championship, which takes place on Thursday, June 25, is a highlight of the Endless Summer weekend, which runs at Trillium Wood Golf Club in Belleville.

“Building on last year’s success, which welcomed competitors from Ontario and Quebec, the 2026 edition will expand nationally, bringing together military hitters from across Canada to compete on one of the sport’s biggest stages,” noted a media release.

Now entering its fifth anniversary year, the event brings together nearly 300 Pro-Am players, more than 60 elite long drive athletes, and more than 1,500 spectators for two days of competition.

Organizers said the military long drive championship reflects that growth and aims to showcase the strength, skill and competitive spirit of Canadian Armed Forces members, while strengthening the connection between the military and the local community.

“We’ve seen incredible growth with Endless Summer year over year, and expanding the military long drive championship to a national level is something we’re really proud of,” stated Jodie Jenkins, tournament director.

“Last year was the starting point. This year, we’re welcoming athletes from across the country and creating something that truly reflects the scale and energy of this event. It’s going to be a special night.”

Colonel Andy Bowser said 8 Wing/CFB Trenton “is proud to once again be part of this event as it continues to grow.”

“What stood out last year was the connection between our members and the community,” Bowser noted.

“Expanding this to include participants from across Canada only strengthens that impact. We’re looking forward to another outstanding competition.”

Co-operators Insurance is supporting the event, which benefits charitable partners including Gleaners Food Bank in Belleville and the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre, with a portion of proceeds helping to make a direct impact in the community, organizers noted.

Quinteist reached out for more details about the impact organizers hoped to see, but the tournament director wasn’t available by the publishing deadline.

Endless Summer kicks off Thursday and will feature men’s double-elimination qualifying activities during the day, followed by the military long drive championship in the evening.

Friday will include two Pro-Am events and the championship finals under the lights.
