Not taking Gibbs white and Palmer is a strong call and I'd have personally taken Maguire as we aren't stacked with talent at CB and he's always performed for England. It's a big big call and Tuchel will get a lot of criticism if we fail and that means anything less than the semi-finals realistically in my eyes.
I have not seen encouraging signs from the hairline….

Cole Palmer has not been firing at Chelsea. I grant you that. But something tells me Palmer would have perked up for England and hit his peak at the right time for the World Cup. He would be ideal for the inevitable dreaded penalty shoot-outs. . As would Harry Maguire, strangely enough. I'm pleased Ivan Toney is still in the mix.
