When playing bunker shots you will either likely find a lie that is sat ontop of nice fluffy sand or a lie that is sat on compact firm and often wet sand

Both styles require a slightly different technique to give yourself the best chance of getting up and down

A fluffy lie is best played when opening the face of your wedge and using the bounce to prevent the club from digging in
.
A firm bunker is better to be played a bit more neutral so that the leading edge can dig in and help to get under the ball instead of blading the ball into the trees over the green
