Golf: Montgomery’s Ortiz, Windsor’s Jones leads local contingent at NCS Division 1 Championships – The Press Democrat

The 2026 spring season came to an end for local high school golf competitors on Monday at the North Coast Section Division 1 championship tournament hosted at Windsor Golf Course.

De La Salle ran away with the team title for the sixth consecutive season, finishing with a score of 350, over 30 shots better than second place.

Among local teams, Windsor had the best finish as the Jaguars shot 412 to place 10th in the 20-team field. The Jaguars had three players shoot under 80, in Kadin Jones (74), Adam Henry (75) and Jaxson Vera (79).

The top local individual was Montgomery’s Jackson Ortiz, who shot even-par 72 to tie for 10th overall in the field.

Jones finished tied for 15th in the field and Henry tied for 20th, along with Cardinal Newman’s Dillon Stefani, who also shot 75.
