The English golfer picked up three wins during the year and quickly became one of the most talked-about names in European golf. Soon after winning the Open de Espana in October, Penge also cleared up rumors linking him with LIV Golf and confirmed that his focus was completely on the PGA Tour. Speaking after the tournament, Penge said, “I’m going to America tomorrow with my wife to find a place for when we move in January. I’m playing the PGA Tour next year.” He added that he hopes to enjoy a successful season in the United States before returning to the DP World Tour later in the year. As his career continues to rise, many golf fans have also become curious about his personal life and the woman who has supported him through the journey. Penge’s wife is Emily Lamb, who was once considered one of England’s brightest young amateur golfers. Long before their marriage, both players were already making headlines in junior golf competitions across the country.

Marco Penge and Emily Lamb first connected through amateur golf

Emily Lamb enjoyed a strong amateur career during her teenage years. She won the Fairhaven Trophy in both 2013 and 2014. Interestingly, Penge won the boys’ competition during those same years, showing how closely their golf journeys matched from an early stage.The couple later became partners both on and off the course. In 2016, they won the famous Sunningdale Foursomes together despite Penge battling food poisoning during the final round. After the win, Penge said, “We really enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to see our names on the champions board at Sunningdale. We may possibly be the youngest pairing to have won it.”Lamb’s amateur success continued after that victory. She won the British Women’s Stroke Play Championship in 2016, played in the 2017 Women’s Open as the low amateur, and later represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2018 Curtis Cup.Emily Lamb retired from professional golf before starting a family with Marco PengeAlthough Lamb had a promising future in golf, her professional career lasted only two years.
