Tiger Woods ‘Wasn’t Going to Miss’ Kai Trump’s Graduation, He’s ‘Deeply Attached’ to Vanessa’s Kids

Tiger Woods apparently cut his rehab stay short so he could be there for girlfriend Vanessa Trump‘s daughter’s special day.

After it was reported by Page Six that the pro golfer, 50, attended Kai Trump‘s graduation from the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, sources said he wouldn’t have missed it.

According to a Monday, May 18, report in journalist Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack, the 15-time major champion left his rehab stint in Switzerland on the earlier side so he could be in Florida.

“Tiger absolutely adores Kai,” one source said. “She’s become like a daughter to him.”

“He wasn’t going to miss this moment,” the source said. “Tiger has become deeply attached to Vanessa’s children, especially Kai.”

Kai — who celebrated her 19th birthday the same day Woods had a court hearing on May 12 regarding his recent DUI arrest — bonds with her mother’s boyfriend over golf. The teenager, whom Vanessa shares with Donald Trump Jr., will be attending the University of Miami, where she’ll reportedly play golf on the women’s collegiate team.

“Golf is the language they bond through,” another insider told Shuter. “Tiger understands the pressure, expectations, and attention that come with growing up in the spotlight.”

“At this stage of his life, family means everything to Tiger,” the insider added of the athlete, who was arrested following a rollover car accident on March 27. “And Kai truly feels like family to him now.”

As Globe previously reported, Woods pleaded not guilty after his DUI arrest, when he was reportedly found with opioids on him.

Globe confirmed that Woods was granted approval by a judge to travel outside the country to seek treatment following his arrest. At the recent court hearing, it was ruled that prosecutors will be able to request Woods’ prescription drug records. However, it was agreed that there will be a protective order regarding their release to shield them from public view.

Woods released a statement on March 31 via X regarding the crash, writing, “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.”

“This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” the statement continued, adding that he hopes to “return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place.”
