Woods was arrested on March 27 after crawling out of his rolled-over vehicle following a two-vehicle crash on Jupiter Island, where he owns a home. The 50-year-old golfer was released from jail later that day on a $1,150 bail.

The police report on the crash states that Woods was traveling in a black Land Rover behind a Ford F-150 with an attached trailer on South Beach Road in Jupiter Island when the Ford slowed down to make a right turn into a driveway.

The Land Rover struck the rear left fender to the pickup’s trailer before it “lost control and flipped on the driver’s side,” the affidavit states.
Police charges woods with driving under the influence with property damage and refusing a urine test.
Police affidavit on Tiger Woods arrest reveals pills
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office released Woods’ arrest affidavit on Tuesday. It revealed details on Wood’s behavior during the two-vehicle crash.
Woods told investigators that he was looking down at his cell phone and changing the radio station before the crash, according to the affidavit.

Deputies observed Woods was “sweating profusely” and “lethargic and slow” while speaking and noted he seemed “extremely alert.” Deputy also observed Woods limping and stumbling to the right as he was walking to front of the deputy’s car.
A deputy then observed Woods’ eyes to be “bloodshot and glassy” and his pupils “extremely dilated” as the golfer sat on the push bumper of the patrol car, the affidavit states.
Woods then was given several exercises to test for impairment and on each test, he had to be reminded at least once to follow directions, according to the affidavit.
A search of Woods’ pocket found two pills revealed to be hydrocodone, a strong opioid painkiller to treat moderate to severe pain. The pills were collected and submitted to evidence.

Police said Woods was not under the influence of alcohol − his breathalyzer registered a 0.00 – but deputies determined Woods was impaired at the time of the crash.

Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi, formerly know as Vanessa Haydon during her modeling career, was married to Trump Jr. from from 2005 to 2018. The couple had five children together Kai Trump, Donald Trump III, Tristan Trump, Spencer Trump and Chloe Trump.
Woods and Trump sparked dating rumors in 2025, when they were seen together at at golf tournament in Palm Beach County. The couple connected after their children began attending the same private school in North Palm Beach, The Benjamin School.
In spring 2025, Trump and Woods announced their relationship via Instagram. The post read: “We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

President Trump, who is a longtime friend of Woods, supported the couple’s relationship announcement.
This month, the couple was seen at the TGL Finals in Palm Beach Gardens. Woods gave Vanessa a kiss on the cheek before taking a swing at the tournament.
Tiger Woods girlfriend and children not involved in Florida crash
The news about Wood’s crash sparked curiosity online on his dating life and whether Trump or any of their children had been involved in the accident.
Neither Vanessa Trump, Kai Trump or any of Woods were in the vehicle during Woods’ crash.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Department said Wood was alone in the vehicle during the March 27 two-vehicle accident.

Tiger Woods girlfriend makes first social media post after golfer’s crash
Vanessa Trump made her first social media post following Wood’s crash on Saturday, March 28, a day after his arrest.
The post focused on her children Kai and Spencer Trump attending the Miami Open. The post featured them cheering tennis players Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka.
Vanessa Trump has not made made any statements related to Wood’s arrest.
