President Trump’s New Golf Statue Is Already Causing Problems

President Trump has a big, bold new statue at his golf course, Trump Doral, in Florida.

The prestigious course is set to host a PGA Tour event this week. The Cadillac Championship is being held at Trump Doral. Ahead of the tournament’s start, President Trump’s new gold statue is the “talk” of the driving range, according to Golfweek.

“Standing 15 feet tall (22 feet with the pedestal), the gold-leaf bronzed statue of the two-time and current U.S. president was installed at the resort earlier this month,” Golfweek reported.

Unsurprisingly, the statue is already causing some issues, as many have made it clear they don’t want to be photographed next to it.

But the statue, unsurprisingly, is already causing some issues.

The statue, created by artist Alan Cottrill and commissioned by a cryptocurrency group ($PATRIOT), features Trump’s fist-pump pose after an assassination attempt in the summer of 2024.

Not everyone seems to love it, though.

PGA Tour staffers had no interest in posing for a photo

Golfweek detailed the scene by the statue.

“When a tournament photographer asked a few Tour staff people if they wanted a group photo by the statue, he received a collective, ‘No.’

“Ok, I didn’t know you were all so woke,’ the photographer said.”

The course, meanwhile, is hosting its first PGA Tour event in 10 years – but this week, it’s President Trump’s statue getting all of the attention.

Of course, that’s likely what he would want.
