  1. It's already in Rugby and NFL. Mouth guards and observable symptoms by an independent doctor mean that players are given off pitch tests. In football it's all down to the manager which is crazy. I'm sure they would be happier if the decision was out of their hands for a temporary sub.

  2. It's sport! Contact sport comes with these risks. Surely the % of players having long term damage is very low. I bet the players, if asked, would just want to get on with it

  3. I think the players wages more than cover the slim chance of getting concussed while playing.
Any one who thinks the rolling subs wouldn't be abused/used to gain advantage must be suffering concussion

  4. Rugby league already got a great system that is done by an independent doctor to stop any bias (HIA) so why is the most wealthy sport on planet yrs behind πŸ€”

  5. What about when players are cheating holding their heads to gain a free kick , but it’s cheating and they’ve never been hit on the head. So is the suggestion every time a player goes done holding head then get subbed off. ? It might stop the cheating by players mayeb!

  6. not saying its not an issue but when u consider the scale of football it really doesn't happen that badly that often and its improved a lot

footballers are paid extremely well most prefer to head the ball without wearing a headcap. somethings like a small concussion chance is a risk in sport that u might just have to accept

u do the best u can on the sideline to spot signs and the rest is just risk acceptance
