Kai Trump revealed her biggest fear to her father as the Miami golf commit prepared for her first college season on the course.
Trump attended the Masters golf tournament as the President’s granddaughter was in need of medical attention following Rory McIlroy’s triumph as she noticed a rash on her neck after picking the wrong player to bring home the green jacket.
Trump and her father, Donald Trump Jr., played a practice round on the course, as revealed on her YouTube channel of 1.48 million subscribers. She also shared her biggest fear following the wrist surgery she underwent on her left hand in early January. It comes after Donald Jr and mom Vanessa reunited amid relationship ‘fears’ with Tiger Woods.

“I’m feeling good,” said Trump. “I definitely cannot hit a shot. I don’t know. That is my biggest wrist concern. That’s my biggest fear. My forearm has gotten a lot stronger. It is still so small, but it has gotten a lot stronger. That is why my shoulder has been hurting a lot; there is no weight, so it is uneven.”
Trump had surgery to address stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and damage to her triangular fibrocartilage complex.
“I’m a little nervous about the chip. Honestly, I’m more nervous about this than the prom,” added Trump. “It was really bad when I actually went to look for my wedge and there were cobwebs on my golf clubs. That was the last time.”

She continued: “I had surgery on January 6th. I originally hurt it in November, but I tried casting it because I thought it was going to heal. Obviously, it didn’t heal for two months.
“Then I got surgery, and now we are here today. Today is April 18th, and I still haven’t touched a club since then.
“Today is the day. I’m hoping I can start playing again full-time by July. I think that’s a good, realistic time frame. Originally, I wanted to be able to play golf by my birthday on May 12th, but there is no way. You can play putt-putt golf. I can putt eighteen holes, but I definitely cannot hit a shot.”

Trump is playing at the University of Miami in the fall and has posted numerous strong finishes, including runner-up at the 2025 Major Championship at Village Golf Course, third at Lost City Golf Club, and second at the 2024 Martin County Junior Open.
“Kai will bring tremendous energy and excitement to Miami,” head women’s golf coach Janice Olivencia said.
“She’s a multi-sport athlete with a strong competitive spirit and a true love for the game of golf. Kai is very committed to her growth, both as a player and as a person, and her emphasis on development will continue to lead her to new heights. Kai has big goals for Canes Golf, with the work ethic to match.”
