PGA of America CEO Terry Clark and Chief Championships Officer Kerry Haigh speak ahead of the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club and address some of the biggest topics in golf.

Clark discusses the state of the game, the role of PGA professionals, the 20 club professionals competing in the PGA Championship, the future of the championship, the Ryder Cup after Bethpage, and the PGA of America’s position on the golf ball rollback and bifurcation.

Haigh breaks down Aronimink’s setup, the challenge of its sloping greens, the 11th green, green speeds, hole locations, the new player code of conduct, and why the PGA Championship continues to identify itself as the strongest field in golf.

They also discuss the May date, the possibility of playing the PGA Championship outside the United States, PGA Frisco, prize money, fan experience, Philadelphia golf and what makes this championship unique.

  1. Thank you PGA of America for actually fighting for US THE AVERAGE GOLFERS!!! WE are the ones that are making this game healthier than it has ever been, and WE are the ones these governing bodies should focus on!! F*ck the USGA!! Mike Whan should be fired and removed from any role related to golf! The USGA is a pathetic joke, and they're trying to ruin the average golfers experience with this golf ball rollback!

Golf has never been more popular, and the USGA said to themselves, "how can we f*ck this up?"

  2. The PGA Tour is absolutely NOT the "center" of golf, neither is it the heartbeat of golf. What a bunch of overly paid assholes who have forgotten where the true heartbeat of the game is.

  3. Terry what you understand the PGA of America Headquarters is irrelevant in the game of golf.

PGA Members are the heart and soul of growing the game. The PGA of America Headquarters is an impediment.

  4. Bifurcation just makes balls more expensive for the everyday golfer. No PGA member is paying for golf balls. Just let the ball be the ball.

  5. You think Augusta National is a perfect track for Rory? Just wait and see what he does this week. And no course is more perfect for Rory than St. Andrews! Make putts and he’ll win by 5-6 shots. I honestly think he’s got a great shot at winning them all this year! Shinnecock will be the tough one!

  6. Cameron young hit your new ball made by Titleist double dot Pro V 375 I don't think it's going to help.. what a waste of combined time on this subject, make the club head smaller
