They say that roughly 98 per cent of the atoms in the human body are replaced annually, but while that might mean that Pádraig Harrington is not the same person who played his first US PGA 29 years ago, he jokes he’s like Trigger’s brush and as enthusiastic as ever to compete this week.

The Dubliner might be 54 years old, but his competitive spirit remains undimmed by the years, and there’s nowhere he’d rather be this week than at storied Aronimink outside Philadelphia.
