Jim Troy of The Golf Dome won the Championship Division and Mike Stone of Belmont Country Club captured the Senior Division at the Northern Ohio PGA Club Car/Pepsi Stableford Stroke Play #1 on May 11 at Westbrook Country Club.
Troy posted 36 Stableford points after rounds of 35-37—72, while Stone finished with 37 points following a 35-36—71 performance.
Troy separated himself from a four-way tie for second at 34 points. Drew Pierson of The Clubhouse, Ian Hardesty of Optimus Golf, Tony Bodziony of Chagrin Valley Country Club and Kyle Buzaki of Glenmoor Country Club each finished at 34 points after rounds of 74.
Evan Bryan of The Country Club, Joe Meglen of StoneWater Golf Club, Randy Dietz of Windmill Golf Center, Ian Haidle of Shady Hollow Country Club and Blake Sattler of Brookside Country Club tied for sixth at 33 points.
In the Senior Division, Stone finished two points ahead of Mitch Camp, PGA of America Life Member, who recorded 35 points after rounds of 37-36—73. Gary Rusnak of 1899 Indoor Golf – Twinsburg placed third with 34 points following a 37-37—74 total.
The Northern Ohio PGA continues the ClubCar/Pepsi Stroke Play Series next Monday at Elyria Country Club.
