Paul Casey is right in the mix at LIV Golf Virginia 2026 after a strong 4-under round at Trump National DC, moving to 6-under for the tournament and keeping Crushers GC firmly in contention.
After his round, Casey praised the demanding conditions in Potomac Falls, calling the course a true ball-striking test and even comparing it to a major-level challenge. With sunshine, wind, long par-4s and firm demands from tee to green, Casey said this is exactly the kind of golf course that rewards intelligence, patience and experience.
He also talked about Crushers GC chasing another team title after their win in South Africa, the challenge of trying to catch a red-hot Lucas Herbert, and why Herbert has simply “gone bananas” at the top of the leaderboard.
Casey also reflected on LIV Golf’s future, how the league listens to its players, and the lasting influence of longtime coach Peter Kostis on his game.
