It’s a major week, and we’ll be there from the first press conference to the final putt, pulling together everything that matters on and off the course.
In the build-up, we’ll ease into things with AAP reporting and pre-tournament press conference coverage, setting the scene as the players arrive and the stories start to form. We’ll also help you get across how to watch every moment of the championship, along with a focus on the Aussies in the field at Aronimink.
On social media, we’ll be leaning into video and strong visual galleries to bring a bit of colour and atmosphere to the lead-in.
Once we hit tournament week proper, things ramp up quickly. Wednesday will feature columns, AAP updates as usual as players fine-tune their games, as well as special PGA Championships-focussed longform content.
Thursday is all about getting the tournament underway; including the all-important round one tee times and groupings. We’ll also keep things fun with a caption competition as the week starts to find its rhythm.
From Friday, it’s full tilt. Fast news updates, social media posts and leaderboard graphics will keep things moving quickly. Expect round-of-the-day scorecards, and all the key moments highlighted as they happen.
Saturday and Sunday bring the pressure and the big moments; final-round tee times, and all the live coverage as the leaderboard tightens and the champion emerges.
Then on Monday, we’ll wrap it all up with a winner’s bag feature, an Aussie report card, final galleries, AAP wrap coverage and a closing column to tie the week together.
