Golf fans were left doing a double take this weekend after the SoFi Center — home of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL Golf League — swapped golf balls for body slams as AEW brought wrestling chaos to the futuristic arena.
The bizarre ‘Fairway To Hell’ crossover quickly went viral after AEW’s official social channels shared footage of wrestler Darby Allin launching opponent Pac into a greenside bunker — not once, but twice.
“Was the bunker raked after this?” NUCLR Golf joked.

“The reality is that this is actually more entertaining than TGL,” one fan quipped.

The SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is the purpose-built home of TGL — the tech-powered indoor golf league created by Woods and McIlroy through TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA Tour.
Launched in 2025, the league blends simulator golf with a giant rotating short-game complex known as the GreenZone, all designed to deliver fast-paced, primetime entertainment.

After a rocky debut season, TGL bounced back strongly in 2026 with upgraded graphics, a larger GreenZone and a more polished viewer experience.
The league features some of golf’s biggest stars, including Woods, McIlroy, Cameron Young, Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick and Tommy Fleetwood.

Despite mixed TV ratings, TGL has already secured a third season and plans to expand in 2027.
A women’s version of the league — WTGL — is also on the way, with Charley Hull, Lydia Ko, Lexi Thompson and Jeeno Thitikul among the stars already committed.
However, two of golf’s biggest names are still notably absent from the TGL setup, with world number ones Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda yet to commit to the indoor league.
