TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler men’s golf closed out their season on Saturday afternoon in a tie for 18th place at the NCAA South Central/West Regional Tournament at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Western Washington, West Texas A&M, Cal State East Bay, Colorado Christian, Cal State San Marcos, and Cal State San Bernardino advanced into the NCAA Championship by way of finishing inside the top six teams on the leaderboard.
UT Tyler fired a 14 over par 302 on Saturday to close out their tournament alongside LSC foe UT Permian Basin.
Blake Harwell and Jacob Holloway led the scoring for UT Tyler with matching rounds of 74. Harwell made a pair of birdies alongside a pair of double bogeys while adding 14 pars. Holloway began his round with an eagle on his first hole of the day and then backed it up with two more birdies and 11 pars on his way to his 74.
Preston DeSerrano, Corbin Murray, and Preston Chabaud would each shoot 77 on Saturday, with the Patriots taking two of those for their final two counting scores.
DeSerrano made one birdie and added 11 pars, Murray made a trio of birdies to 11 pars, and Chabaud made two birdies to his nine pars.
UT Tyler puts the wraps on another successful season as they made their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
