Ripper GC’s Lucas Herbert leads LIV Golf Virginia by six shots going into the third round on Saturday.The Australian capped a superb day on Friday with a birdie on his last hole to leave him 17-under at the halfway stage of the tournament, which is live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.Eleven-under Sergio Garcia is second ahead of third-placed Englishman Richard Bland, with Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, both five-under, down the leaderboard in seventh.

He sunk a 15-footer to move to 12-under, reducing Herbert’s lead to five as the Aussie pars the first. Bland also got a three on the first.

DeChambeau sunk a huge putt across the green to secure his birdie. They are both on 8-under, a mere nine shots behind Herbert. Detry got a second successive birdie. The three are a combined 8-under after 3 holes!

He sinks a 20 foot putt for his three. What a start to the third round! Moving day living up to its name already. Detry, playing with them, gets a birdie but is pretty overshadowed.

He drains a chip and run from the edge of the green. He is now equal third! At this rate he could reel in Herbert by the turn…
