Bryson DeChambeau took part in several fitness challenges in front of Donald Trump at the White House, and the U.S. President lied about his results on Truth Social.

DeChambeau was at the White House on Tuesday as Trump signed a presidential memorandum that restored the Presidential Fitness Test in schools. DeChambeau was one of several professional athletes to get behind the fitness initiative and reunited with Trump in Washington.

Trump shares a close relationship with DeChambeau and watched on as the LIV Golf star completed pull-ups in front of the White House. However, Trump celebrated DeChambeau for completing 30, even though the golfer clearly managed just 16.

The U.S. President posted footage from Tuesday’s event at the White House, as the reinstated Presidential Fitness Test became official. Music blared across the grounds as groups took part in physical activity.

In one video posted to Trump’s Truth Social, DeChambeau was seen completing pull-ups on a bar displayed in front of the White House.

“Amazing — Bryson doing 30 Pull Ups at the White House for the reinstatement of the Presidential Fitness Test! President DJT,” he wrote.

However, the count was inaccurate, almost double what DeChambeau achieved. The LIV Golf star was also humbled in the push-up challenge, as he broke his rhythm before 90-year-old golf legend Gary Player.

Player heavily endorsed Trump during the event on Tuesday and sent a message to young Americans. “I say to the young people, ‘Just love this country because you don’t realize what’s going on around the world,'” Player said.

“There is a silent war taking place against America today, and what we’ve got to do is make these kids realize that freedom, exercise, and education start with reading some books. What you put in your body is so important.

“What a wonderful job [Trump] has done. And to all your Cabinet members, I say thank you for maintaining this great word — this cherished word: freedom.”

DeChambeau was also complimentary of Trump when agreeing to get behind the fitness test plans last year. “We have an opportunity at being the 70th Anniversary of the President’s council on sports, fitness, and nutrition to literally change the fabric of kids’ lives,” he said.

“And our first initiative is to bring back and reignite the President’s fitness test and also re-establish some key other metrics on guidelines around building some communities and also, again with the President’s iniatives around college, we think we can help in that regard too.

“But we’ve got a great established council with us, that we believe we can change the fabric of our communities and kids’ livelihoods for the future generations that are to come.” DeChambeau’s glowing message was well received by Trump, who then praised his close friend.

“He’s Bryson DeChambeau. He’s a great guy. He’s been my friend for a long time…,” Trump said. “Bryson has always been a phenomenal ambassador to sports and to golf, but generally to life in my opinion. He’s a smart guy and a good guy, great guy. Loves our country.”
