Our grip is the only contact with the golf club yet most of us don’t make a conscious decision about the way we grip the golf club. This is especially important in putting when we have such a small margin of error to start the ball on line if we want to hole more putts.
In this video I run through five different putting grips from conventional to newer options like claw and left hand low. With each option I explain how to adopt that style of putting, the pros and cons and which types of golfer each putting style might suit.
If you want to know how to grip the putter correctly for your game make sure to watch all five grip options!

Great vid Hannah
You look great Hannah, very informative
Are you still using short scope H4 to keep track of your progress and stats
Have you had any issues with your H4 communicating with your phone. I have a new l phone 17plus phone pro and it will not connect with the H4 unit, it’s all new
I had it to a computer technician and no luck, lm presently waiting to hear from scope shot to see if they can solve the issue, just wondering, have you any experience with Accaros scoring system and software from the us? I remember your video and use of shot scope and I actually liked your system for stats and where it suggested room for progress
Thank you, a dedicated subscriber from day one 👍
Excellent video 😊.
Great info there Hannah, plenty of food for thought there.
Great work Hannah, very informative. Putting is something we should all pay more attention to, it’s such a large percentage of the game. Thank you.
your hair looks great Hannah
do you have a new putter? or just testing….i hope
great video very informative – need to try a few of them
Yes I changed mine last year.ive never made so many putts. Wow your new hair style and color is 🔥
Interesting stuff never heard of the kathati grip before will give that a try and see how the centring of my strike goes
Good video Hannah. I have tinkered with this, blade, mallet, different grips, and more recently an arm lock and a broomstick. I now bag a broomstick with a claw grip. I work consistently on a 3’ putt and 30’ lag putts for the pace control, so I can sink it on the next putt once it’s 3’ or less.
Great video Hannah. I always use the pencil grip fantastic for lag putting I’ve never thought about swapping grips for shorter putts which I always pull. Time to experiment. Keeps the videos coming ❤
Sub'd. You go get'em Hannah!!
Great video here.
Putting is primarily 'feel', the grip you take on the club is one thing but feel depends more on the grip on the putter. Find the right size and texture for the grip you take on the putter.
I have been playing golf since I was 10 years old (35 years now)…yet I didn’t know that players do not typically interlock their fingers with a conventional putter grip! I’m not sure whether you’ve unlocked my Holy Grail, or just added another putting thought…I‘ll get back to you after trying it. 😂
Luv the new hair 🥰
Thanks really helpful.
Strong eye above and behind the ball. The grip needs to deliver that. Our hands follow the eye, the strong eye.👁️
Very useful video Hannah. The grip really does influence the type of the putter head and style you are best fitted for. Some grips prevent rotation and are more of a pendulum and so decides the head type.
Took a moment or two to get used to seeing you with your hair down too.
I think the biggest issue is the inability of most mid to high handicappers to read greens and their technique in playing sloping greens. Plus dont be to hard on yourself, straight putts often hit lumps n bumps on the way. Its not always a bad line!
Hannah, this putting video is so comprehensive and your presentation skills are off the charts. Thanks for all your hard work. Your videos have really helped me.
Great video Hannah! I have been experimenting with putting grips past year and ended up with a claw but it still wasn't it. So I changed the left hand to go under the grip for a more stable feel. A sort of kohati-claw mix.
Not that I had ever heard of Kohati before this video. Just used it in practice (both hands) and it felt great. Much more centered strike and feels very stable. Love it!
Going to hang on to that kohati for a while to see if it lasts. Thanks for introducing that grip to me 👍
Hi. Hannah, love watching your videos, very in depth, alas I couldn't really concentrate because of your fabulous legs…
