Dana Point, Calif. – Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, Calif. recently hosted the 3rd Annual PGA HOPE Charity Golf Tournament presented by Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in conjunction with the Southern California PGA. The event, which included golf and a post-tournament concert by the Common Kings, raised more than $20,000 and will help serve 45 veterans via the PGA HOPE program.
This year’s tournament welcomed more than 150 golfers to the beautiful oceanfront course. After the tournament, golfers enjoyed a sunset concert on the first tee by Orange County-based Common Kings, who donated their time to this fundraising effort to help care for veterans. The Grammy-nominated island-reggae powerhouse and official band of Monarch Beach Golf Links have toured with Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars while building one of the most loyal live fanbases in modern feel-good music. Common Kings’ laid-back beach energy was the perfect way to end the event.

The PGA HOPE Charity Golf Tournament has raised nearly $75,000 for HOPE programming over the last three years. PGA HOPE, which stands for Helping Our Patriots Everywhere, is one of the Southern California PGA Foundation’s five pillars. The program provides free six-week golf instruction for Veterans and Active Duty Military using the game as a tool to build confidence, foster camaraderie, and support overall well-being in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The community event was supported by my multiple local sponsors, including Yaamava’ Resort & Casino, Good Boy Golf, DRVR, Common Kings, Uncle Eds, Seaweed Bath Co., Pepsi Co, and Eden Mills.
“This year’s PGA HOPE Charity Golf Tournament was the best one yet,” said Monarch Beach Golf Links General Manager Eric Lohman, PGA. “It was filled with great golf, community, and a shared commitment to making a difference for those who have served our country. We look forward to continuing this event for years to come.”
