I had last years ping lst. Went to the GT3 now….and love it
Where are the numbers? The 'Numbers' section didn't show any numbers comparison, just 2 distances for the 10K, and not a single distance for the GT2? You just mainly showed shots of you hitting the GT2 massively left.
James. I’m starting g to get the vibe that the latest club you are reviewing is the best ever.
GT2 is just not as
Big and titleist seems to make forgiving drivers for pros but not the masses
Which one would I use,,, neither at those prices. Utterly ridiculous.
Funny is whenever titliest or Taylor made launch new products it gets super reviews from all of these influencers in golf,
Ask you’re self how easy is it to find a used ping 10 K driver verses titliest or Taylor made
You all claim to be non bias it’s just a lot of BS
Funny how folks here sound like the guys who’ve realised they’ve made a mistake and trying desperately to say it doesn’t matter – when in fact, deep down, it’s hurting they’ve got something boring, non descript, dull and less effective than their mate who spent a little more………if you’re satisfied with the meat pie as a main course every time then Ping will do the job, but if you want to have Al a carte go for titleist.
The bottom line is to get fitted, I'm a massive Ping fan, but I ended up with the Taylormade Qi Max, which worked much better for me.
Hi Good review, enjoyed it.
Question – what's happened to the Top 100 series as I have not seen one for a couple of weeks, is there a problem with Utube ?????
It’s about your fitting, I tried the Ping, span like a top. My fitter said they are supposed to spin, as that creates forgiveness, you don’t need that much spin. I was fitted into a AiSmoke, its long, great dispersion, and yes i hit it very straight. I was having an iron fitting, (the fitter is an old school pal) he said lets have some fun with the new Titliest drivers, i hit them all, none got near my AiSmoke, but they didn’t spin as much as the Ping. My fitter, uses the new Titleist, but he’s a Titleist guy. Personally, YT reviews are becoming unwatchable, as all we hear is “ this is the best ive ever seen” last week it was PSG, before that Ping, or the Darkspeed, now it’s Titleist. manufacturers have worked out YT creators are cheaper to bribe, and have similar influence to Tour pros, so beware peeps
What's off putting to me is having a 14 capper try to say which is the best, but never recommends getting fit. Just waffles on about nothing really
I think TSI3 was best driver they made last 10 years.
Titleist will go further as smaller head it’s faster through the air with less resistance. You’re comparing 2 completely different products . Put it along side the Taylormade Qi10 not max head .
Had a GT2 fitting couple weeks ago and it performed better than my AI Smoke.
Just by a PXG
I tried the 430max, 10K and the GT2. The 10K was too spinny, the 440 and GT2 were very similar but the the GT2 was very consistent. The numbers were the same for every swing. The 430 won out on price. One interesting thing was the 430Max was the best with the same shaft that the Ping online driver fitting recommended.
GT2 is mid at best.
The second drive, the ping won easily. You hit it like dog 💩 and it still was middle and right next to the gt2. Your opinions throughout are confusing at best. Feels like you’re pushing GT2. Paid advertisement. GT2 is mid. Same as your integrity.
I really tried to like the GT2 but finally ended up with the Ping g430 Max 10k. Very happy with it.
Just get a tsr2 or 3, they don’t just become bad overnight!! Save a load of cash
When testing for forgiveness, surely you should try hitting them all over the face & look at dispersion?
Bought the ping, love it
I have been doing a lot of testing with gt2 vs my AI Smoke triple diamond. AI Smoke is miles longer, goes further and straighter on missed hits, and continually has higher ball speed. For me, gt2 launches too high and spins about 500 rpm more than the Callaway. It's good, it does exactly as advertised. Higher launch, more spin, but everything else is the same as most drivers.
Buzzer wars in the comment
I'm not sure a PGA Pro is the right person to demonstrate forgiveness. Thinking I'd rather have a +20 handicapper hit them both about 25 teams each and then see what their spread is.
GT2 crap where as Ping 10k Max dogs bullocks.
Ok James I am so jealous of that beautiful golf course. You should invite a follower to come to the UK and play some of those great courses. To the point of these drivers I am very glad I waited until this driver came out because I am ready to replace my Epic Speed.
Very confusing video. Your inside vs outside footage are completely contradicting
James, Titleist did a carbon top driver years ago… The 909 D-Comp
These reviewers are in a tough spot. They want to give you an honest opinion but they have to be super careful or they 1) won’t get the early access they need to new products. They need this early access to generate views. 2) they could possibly get sued.
Just been fitted into the Ping G430 Max.
Do you think Titleist have ripped off the recently released Kirkland driver with the G2?
That's because ping sucks
Surely that’s why you go to a fitting? I went in for the GT2 and it was nowhere near the numbers I was getting from 10k max. Be open minded about what may suit you
Poor video have to say unfortunately – not enough info on data / numbers comparison and then you've said you prefer the feel of both – doesn't make sense when I clicked as you put 'CLEAR WINNER!' ….
Ping 10K came out quite low to my eye. It's a low spin beast. If GT2 and Ping 10K are close on indoors numbers, Ping 10K is clear winner in the long term through poor swings and poor weather.
When you guys test clubs that’s great, however have a 12 or 15 handicapper doing these tests that’s what helps most people who watch these videos!
I like that you made a call. Not any of this "if you prefer a bigger head for confidence, go Ping" rubbish. Ping is a great driver but I'm team Titleist. There's something about the timeless and beautiful head design that inspires confidence at address. Even if the Ping was longer by 5 years, I'd still stay with Titleist, but that's a personal thing…
Is it me or is this guy a titelist glazer
Just ordered my GT2, so far on the course longer and more forgiving than other drivers I’ve tried and I’m a 19 hcp, hopefully for not much longer
James
I would really like to see a head to head test between a 2019 driver, eg the Cobra F9, and a 2024 driver, eg a Ping g430 10k.
Has technology improved that much in 5 years?
Should I change?
Thanks.
Ping makes good products, but I purchased the GT2. Titleist allows veterans discounts. Ping will not allow their dealers to offer one.
No consideration for shaft, lie, loft. Useless.
There’s a reason I don’t subscribe to this channel.
I hit the ping great but… I hit the titleist further consistently.
In the studio you said you like the ping better then in the course you said you like the Titleist feel better. Which one is it?
It's a shame that you can't trust some of these YouTubers to make an honest video.
