Donald Trump has dedicated a social media post to celebrate the unveiling of his gold statue. The towering figure has been erected at the president’s golf course and was formally introduced with a dedication ceremony hosted this week.

A giant gold statue of Donald Trump was recently unveiled at his golf course in Doral, Florida. In celebration of this installation, the president made a Truth Social post on May 7, sharing a photo of the statue.

The golden statue depicts Trump in a confident pose with his right arm raised with a fist pump. It stands on a marble platform in his golf resort in Florida. In the caption accompanying the photo, Trump wrote, “The Real Deal – GOLD – At Doral in Miami. Put there by great American Patriots!!!”
The pose is reminiscent of Trump’s strong gesture at Butler, Pennsylvania, following his assassination attempt in July 2024. A dedication ceremony took place on Wednesday for the golden sculpture, which is 15 feet tall and stands on top of a 7-foot base. Pastor Mark Burns, a member of Pastors for Trump, took to the podium to lead the event.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post later, Burns also wrote, “Today at Trump National Doral Miami, we witnessed an unforgettable moment with the dedication of the 22-foot statue honoring President Donald J. Trump.” He added, “Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. This statue is a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the will power to keep fighting for the future of America.”
As per The Daily Beast, some cryptocurrency investors financed the statue as part of a campaign to promote their memecoin, $PATRIOT (via The Independent). Alan Cottrill, who sculpted it, had previously shared that he had agreed to create the statue for $300,000. However, he revealed that investors were slow in the payment.
