Bettinardi is finally releasing Matt Fitzpatrick’s putters to the public

While American putter workshop Bettinardi doesn’t have a huge footprint on tour, the players that do use their putters tend to do so with great effect.

Case in point, one Matt Fitzpatrick, who despite having one of the most eclectic bags on the PGA Tour, has long stayed true to the brand.

The partnership between Bettinardi and the current world number three spans almost a decade, a young Fitzpatrick having put one of their putters in his bag way back in 2017 before signing an endorsement deal with the brand in 2020.

It’s proven both illustrious and lucrative, with Fitzpatrick earning Bettinardi a major win just two years later at the US Open – its first since Francesco Molinari at the 2018 Open.

Now, after almost a decade of exclusivity, the pair putters Fitzpatrick both developed and used throughout his tenure with the brand are getting a public release for the very first time.

The first (and most iconic) Fitzpatrick putter is the BB1 Fitz Flow (BB1 FF): a classic blade based on the Yes! Tracy II that he used throughout much of his early career. Recognisable for its custom face milling, which features semi-circular grooves, Fitzpatrick still uses the BB1 Fitz Flow to this day, and has had it in the bag for both of his PGA Tour victories this year.

Fitzpatrick has, however, used other Bettinardi putters at times. The main alternative to his blade has emerged in the form of the BB48 Fitz: a half-moon mid-mallet engineered for slightly more forgiveness.

Both models come finished in the classic black and blue colourway Fitzpatrick’s putters have long been presented in, however the Sheffield United stamping remains exclusive to the Yorkshireman’s own putter.

You can learn more and shop both limited-edition putters at Bettinardi’s website.
