U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday posted on social media a photograph of a 6-meter-tall statue of himself erected at a golf course he owns.
Trump posted the image of the golden, 6-meter-tall statue on Truth Social that morning, writing that it was “erected by great American patriots.”
The statue depicts Trump with his right fist clenched and raised high — the pose he struck after surviving an assassination attempt by gunfire during a presidential campaign rally in July 2024.
According to U.S. media, the statue is made of bronze, with the figure itself standing 4.5 meters tall and reaching 6 meters including the pedestal. The statue weighs approximately 3 tons and is covered in gold leaf.
The statue was commissioned by cryptocurrency group “$Patriot” and created by an Ohio-based sculptor early last year to coincide with Trump’s inauguration. However, due to disputes over payment, it was only recently installed at Trump National Doral Miami, Trump’s golf resort in Miami, Florida.
