AUSTIN, Texas — Texas women’s golf’s Farah O’Keefe has been named to the 12-player watch list for the Division I PING WGCA Player of the Year, the organization announced today.
O’Keefe, the 2026 SEC Golfer of the Year is the No. 1 ranked player in women’s college golf and No. 4 on the world amateur ranking list. O’Keefe has won three collegiate events this season and finished in the top-10 in each of her 10 collegiate events. O’Keefe was the low amateur at the Chevron Championship on the LPGA tour and has secured spots for Team USA on the Curtis Cup and Palmer Cup this summer.
O’Keefe competed for the third team this year at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and finished T15. O’Keefe has a best finish of T10 at ANWA in 2025. This past fall, O’Keefe was part of Team USA that captured gold at the World Amateur Team Championship in Singapore. In addition to her start in the 2026 Chevron Championship, O’Keefe has qualified two times for the U.S. Women’s Open on the LPGA tour. O’Keefe won the 2024 Western Amateur Championship and finished runner-up at the 2025 Women’s Amateur Championship in Scotland.
O’Keefe and the Longhorns will compete at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional May 11-13 in Chapel Hill, N.C.
