Hamilton College’s Ramon Aroca Gonzalez ’26 (Madrid, Spain/Hastings School) and Jake Hendelman ’28 (Harrison, N.Y./Hackley School) were selected for the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men’s Golf All-Conference Team on Thursday, May 7 when the organization announced its end-of-season awards.

Aroca Gonzalez was one of eight golfers on the first team and Hendelman was one of eight on the second team. The awards and all-NESCAC team were voted on by the conference’s head coaches.

Aroca Gonzalez is one of the most decorated men’s golfers in NESCAC history as he collected four first team all-conference honors, voted NESCAC Golfer of the Year in 2023 and 2025, and named the 2023 NESCAC Rookie of the Year. He finished in third place out of 50 golfers in the conference championship with a 54-hole score of 219 at Fox Hopyard Golf Club on April 26.

Aroca Gonzalez led the Continentals with an 18-hole stroke average of 73.00 in 20 rounds during the 2025-26 season. He finished in the top five in five tournaments and in the top 20 in two more. His worst round all season was an 80, which he recorded in the first round in the 2025 fall season opener, and he didn’t shoot worse than a 76 in the other 19 rounds. Aroca Gonzalez’s season-best round was a 3-under-par 67 in the final round of the Trinity College/University of Hartford Invitational in early April.

Hendelman, who made his first appearance on the all-NESCAC team, was second on the team with an 18-hole average of 74.30 in 20 rounds. He tied for 23rd place in the conference championship with a 54-hole score of 233. Hendelman finished in the top 10 four times, including an individual medalist award in the Hamilton Invitational, and was in the top 25 in three other tournaments. He carded rounds under 80 on 17 occasions with a season-best score of 69 (three times).
