LIV Golf Tournament Begins at Trump National | News

The 2026 LIV Golf Virginia tournament began with a shotgun start at 1:05 p.m. Thursday at Trump National Golf Club in Lowes Island.

The tournament will run through Sunday with start times of 12:05 p.m. Friday and Sunday and a 1:05 p.m. Saturday. All rounds have a shotgun start.

Grounds passes for all four days are $140, with single-day passes still available for each day as well. Saturday’s grounds pass includes attendance to a concert after play has concluded. Parking for the event is at Dulles Town Center with shuttle services provided.

In a release earlier this week, the Loudoun County government said it is not involved in the event but is working to make residents aware of traffic and other impacts. Roads leading into neighborhoods from the intersection of Lowes Island Boulevard and Dunkirk Square are closed to all traffic except for residents who have obtained special passes.

Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit, Traffic Safety Section, and Auxiliary Unit are in the area assisting with traffic control and event security. Federal law enforcement will also be in the area.

Also in the area are a small number of protestors demonstrating against LIV Golf’s ties to Saudi Arabia and against President Donald Trump, who owns the course. Protests are scheduled to be held each day of the event, according to organizers.
